Meet The Team
Our Story
As mums of spirited young girls, we've shared many heartfelt conversations about our hopes and concerns for their futures. We quickly noticed a common theme: the continuing and shocking prevalence of low confidence and self-esteem among young girls. This quickly manifested as a common goal: to help our daughters grow into confident, resilient young people capable of navigating the complexities of the modern world. We felt very strongly that there was a gap in our local area and beyond for bringing girls together specifically to nurture their sense of self, make bold choices, pick themselves up with determination when they fail and feel deeply proud of themselves.
So we created the Fearless Girls Club.
We want this to be the club we always wished we could have joined as young girls! Built on personalised support that our girls can't access anywhere else and encouraging meaningful peer relationships, we're helping our girls to build a toolkit of critical thinking, curiosity, resilience and confidence to carry with them throughout their lives. We are dedicated to creating a safe, fun and transformative experience where every girl feels seen, heard and empowered to explore life's big questions.
Join us on our quest to find your fearless!

Nina Newington
Club Leader
Nina has been a teacher in Surrey schools for the past 30 years. Her last role, as an Assistant Headteacher at a local infant school, was her biggest achievement in a mainstream setting.
However, after so many changes to the educational system, she realised it was time for a change in her career. So, she swapped the classroom walls for the woods! As a qualified Forest School Leader, she now delivers outdoor learning in various settings to a wide range of children — from toddlers to teens, nursery groups to SEND schools.
Nina hasn’t completely left teaching and currently works part-time in a Surrey school, as well as tutoring privately. She is also a Panel Member for a local youth fund, has been a Founding Trustee of a childhood cancer charity, and has volunteered for local children’s charities. She feels privileged to hold these responsibilities and finds them both rewarding and inspiring.
Having spent many years working in schools, Nina is very aware of the difficulties children face growing up in today’s society. She believes it is vital to equip them with strategies that support healthy emotional well-being and is passionate about providing opportunities that help make this happen.

Lucy is a Psychology graduate from the University of York with a strong interest in supporting children and young people with additional needs. After completing her degree, Lucy began working as a classroom assistant in a school for students with additional needs, a role she finds deeply rewarding and meaningful. Supporting students with diverse needs has strengthened Lucy’s empathy, patience and understanding of inclusive education, and has reinforced her passion for making a positive difference in young people’s lives.
Alongside her work in education, Lucy is an enthusiastic football player, an interest that has helped her develop teamwork, resilience and a strong sense of commitment. Lucy values the balance between physical activity and professional life and brings the same energy and dedication into her work with children.
